1. How did you hear about Delta and why did you decide to join the Ops team?
I was always aware of Delta PM. Prior to joining Delta, I worked as a Recruiter for a small biotech agency in the Bay Area and kept "losing out" to my candidates choosing Delta. Whenever I would check in on them, they would tell me all about Delta's culture and the type of positions they were given to work on. Not only did it sound interesting, but the culture I kept hearing about also made me keep an eye on their job page, just in case something became available. When it did several years later, I just had to apply and hope I made it through the process. I was surprised by the team I met and intrigued by the challenge and career growth Delta offered. It's one of the best career moves I've made so far.
2. What does your role entail?
We are constantly growing, and with this growth comes a good amount of work. I work both as a Recruiter and an Account Manager on the client side. I am a full cycle Recruiter, meaning that I screen the candidates, coordinate technical screening, coach candidates for interviews with our clients, and present offers. As an Account Manager, I attend meetings at client sites, work on bidding for major projects, write proposals and change orders, and manage a large consulting team daily.
Not only do I get the chance to grow our team with skilled engineers, but I'm also able to maintain Delta's relationships with key clients in the Bay Area. It's fulfilling to wear multiple hats, and be given the opportunity to help advance Delta not only in the Bay Area, but also nationwide.
3. How would you describe your team?
My team is very open, transparent, and honest, and are not afraid to dive into heavy workloads, while laughing and having a great time along the way. They're the kind of individuals whom you can rely on without a second thought. We are a small operations group, but mighty in our prowess.
4. What is your favorite company memory?
There are a few that I always look back on, but 2017's holiday party is definitely the one that stands out most. Not only did I finally get to meet most of the team (including all of our consultants from our other sites outside of California), but we were able to enjoy and celebrate our successful year. We also had a tearful moment when we showed a video that the whole Delta team had put together to wish the best of luck to one of our Principals on his volunteer year abroad. It was very moving, and accurately portrayed the extent of Delta PM's love and care for everyone in our company.
