Meet Garrick Chow, Validation Engineer at Delta PM!

  1. Why did you choose to join Delta PM?

My choice to join Delta PM was pretty straightforward. My initial contact with Delta (Hye-Min) was very personable, and I had a few acquaintances also vouch for them as a good company. I’ve now been with Delta for 2.5 years and have no regrets.

  2. How has your experience with delta PM been different or fulfilling?

Coming from a background of working in academia for over 2 years, I quickly noticed the difference in the immediacy and impact of my actions as a consultant on a daily basis. Academia work was more theoretical, meaning the practical applications of my work were only realized years down the road, but I’m able to make direct impact now with the work I do at Delta. For me personally, I’ve discovered that this type of work environment suits me better and I’m actually very good at it.

  3. What do you enjoy most about working at Delta PM?

Of course, the best part about my experience with Delta has been working with my other fellow Delta colleagues on-site. To date, I've worked at three different Delta client sites in the Bay Area, and every single one has had amazing Delta colleagues that were more than willing to get me quickly up-to-speed and provide additional help when needed.

  4. What’s your favorite company memory?

My favorite company memories are undoubtedly the Delta Holiday Dinners. I get to catch up with all of my other Delta colleagues working at various sites across the country and enjoy amazing food.

  5. Do you have any Consulting tips or other career advice?

Even though there can be a lot of information to take in when you first start out in consulting, these experiences will enable you to build up various skills and knowledge over time that will be translatable to other future projects. As you become more efficient at completing your projects, you will have more time to learn and support other projects, which will ultimately have a positive impact on your own projects. So remember to approach every project with the mindset to not only perform your own tasks, but also to learn and support others around you because this can only benefit you in the future.
